In the face of recent political changes that leave many of us gobsmacked, in the presence of growing xenophobia and the horrifying social climate of bigotry, this speeach by the majoy of New York City is a much needed ray of sunlight. It gave me chills to hear such a brave, strong stand for freedom, tolerance and respect, for a world that we all deserve to live in.
